Plant your foundation in the Erth!
The owner of Erth Cosmetics contacted me to sample some of her products. I was more than happy to, as I have quite a bit of fun comparing and contrasting mineral make-up lines. This company is smaller than brands like Bare Escentuals, which makes me happy - I like to patronize smaller businesses when I can.
In terms of how Erth stands with the other mineral lines I've tried (LaurEss, BareEscentuals, Monave, Jane Iredale, L'Oreal), it's almost #1. The range of shades is better than BareEscentuals and L'Oreal and it contains no bismuth oxychloride (the ingredient in many mineral make-ups that causes one's face to itch). The shade I chose, 4.35, which is intended for deep tan skin with neutral/warm skintones works perfectly. I love that the foundation is matte, unlike BE, which has plenty of shimmer - I like to add shimmer to my skin, but in small doses, like an eyeshadow or highlighter, not all over ... I think it looks unnatural. And Erth foundation is only $13 - score! I think the 4.35 is an even better complexion match for me than Jane Iredale PurePressed base in Butternut, which I wear regularly. The only reason it doesn't top Jane Iredale, is because it doesn't come in a pressed powder form. Why, oh why don't more mineral cosmetics come in pressed powder???
Anyway, I plan to order a full-size foundation anyway (once my moratorium is over). Coming up this week will be my review of Erth's mineral shadows and blushes.

Hi Toya!
I just tried a bunch of Erth cosmetics as well - the Moth Veil is my favourite, although I'm quite hooked on their blush now as well!
