Blue Silk Cream review (Guest blogger: Ericka a.k.a. Poopie!)
I'm sure that, if you've been reading this blog regularly, you have read about my Cousin Poopie, also known by the name her mother gave her, Ericka. Lately, I've received a couple products for review that are suited more for women with dry skin. As I am an oily-skinned gal myself, I have passed those products on to Ericka, for review. This is her first guest post here on The Life of A Ladybug. Please welcome her!
"I have very dry skin, especially in winter. I try to moisturize right after I wash my face. If I wait too long between cleansing and moisturizing, my face feels like it's cracking. As a result, I'm always on the lookout for a good moisturizer. The Blue Silk seemed to be, at first, a disappointment. On Day One, I applied it immediately after I patted my face dry and noticed the odd smell. The last moisturizer I'd used was by Cetaphil, so it was quite a change going to something that had a smell. As the day continued, my face felt dry. When I got home from work, I read the instructions again and noticed it said to reapply as needed. Well, I am not really running back and forth to the bathroom all day and I wasn't planning on adding that to mya daily routine. I took it with me the next day, though, just in case. I did need it again that next day, but after that, it seems that it just needed time to seep into my skin. By Day Seven, which was yesterday, I can say that I like it. I realize my skin was acting extra funky because I was PMSing, and now that I'm in my 30s, my skin is unpredictable. On Day Six, my skin was aglow all day. I didn't have to reapply. And the smell is quite pleasant, actually. All in all, I'd give it a thumbs-up. I'm going to addi ti to my skin care regimen on a daily basis."
Thank you, Poopie! Below, you can see pictures of Ericka's skin, after a week of using Blue Silk Cream.

There certainly seems to be some glow there! Lucky girl--my skin has been horrid this winter, very, VERY dry and dull.
I've been using Clarins Blue Lotus oil. It seems to sink into the skin better than a cream--but there's no way I would use oil during the day.
This post makes a great point about not giving up. I'm apt to try something once and give up in frustration.

Suzanna, thanks for the compliment. I appreciate it. I'm still working on getting rid of these unsightly marks. It is quite a task, though.
