Why, oh why, do I always get sucked in by the mascaras? I know I'm not the only one. Often, when you read articles with tips about the makeup every woman needs, contributors will say that the one way to automatically look better is with a good mascara. So, I'm always on the hunt for the perfect mascara. It doesn't exist, but I continue to search anyway.
Awhile ago, when I came across the original Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara, I liked it so much. It offered great volume and length and at a wonderfully convenient price. So, when Cover Girl Lash Blast Luxe came out, of course I had to try it. I should have known, from my interaction with CG Eyelights, that the idea of a shimmery mascara was a bad one. But I tried it anyway. And ... mondo disappointment. Lash Blast Luxe is fine - it's as good as the original Lash Blast. The problem is, I cannot for the life of me understand what the point of the shimmer is. Not only that, but I can't even see the shimmer. So why include it? If what you're looking for is a sparkly mascara or even one with a hint of glimmer, this is not for you. It will not give you what you're looking for. If you're interested in Lash Blast, just get Lash Blast.

I got sucked into this one too. I bought this one and the other one they advertise - both claim to add sparkle to the eyes. There is no sparkle people. Unless I am blind as a bat, which I'm not, there is nothing in this mascara nor the other one Cove Girl promotes that is visibly noticeable. Save your money!

I'm a fan of Lashblast and Lashblast Luxe. I can totally see the HINT of shimmer in the platinum and emerald green version. Its not supposed to be overtly obvious and stands out more in the sun than anything. I like!
