Lately, y'all, I have been in a beauty slump. Maybe it's because it's summer and I stick to casual, quick make-up because I've been going on vacation, weekend trips, day trips, dates with the hubby, etc. It's just easier to pop on a cheek stain, gloss, mascara and keep it movin'. So, it was time to revive my beauty mojo and when I need to do that, I go to my arsenal and dig out something I haven't used in a while.
This go-round, I have renewed my love affair with Laura Geller and all her baked beauties, particularly the Bronze n' Brighten and a few of the Blush n' Brighten shades. If you've been interested in Laura Geller's products, but thought her blushes were a tad too shimmery, she now has two what she calls "Sugar Free" shades - meaning matte. The Sugar Free shades come in Raspberry and Boysenberry, two really versatile and pretty colors.

Dum, dum, duh, dum! The season for weddings is upon us! I remember, as a little girl, how many times I played "bride" and how much I thought of my wedding day. It is the chance to be a pretty, pretty princess and be the center of attention, which was the dream of my young heart (and still, is, really). As a makeup artist, I've had the fortune of beautifying quite a few brides for their Big Day. What I've found is that almost all of them say they want to look their best on that day - like themselves, only prettier than usual. Natural beauty is in! What better way to look your naturally bridely beautiful best than through using one of my favorite products - the lip/cheek stain? And, of those stains, my faves are Three Custom Color's Lip/Cheek Stains. They have come out with a new one called "Marry Me" in both cool and warm options. The Marry Me Lip/Cheek Stain is part of an entire "Marry Me" collection which also includes lip liner and lip gloss. I love it. It gives a wonderful pop of red to the lips and cheeks, which, when paired with a bronzer, a lined eye and some banging mascara, will have you looking elegant, classy and sex-ay! And what bride wouldn't want that?

MAC Just A Pinch Gel Blush came out with MAC's recent "A Rose Romance" collection. I really enjoyed that collection - I'm a romantic at heart and all things pink and pretty make me very, very happy.
One of the products that made me happiest in this collection? Just A Pinch Gel Blush. The name is perfect because this gel blush leaves you with "just pinched" cheeks. Your cheeks will take on a faint, sheer red tint that's immensely flattering and wearable. I wouldn't suggest it for hardcore glam looks, but if you're going for "naturally beautiful", this is the stuff for you.
When I wear this and Lipstick Queen Medieval, I feel like a Jane Austen heroine!
