For the last couple of months, I have been enjoying the Pacifica shower gels - I have Tuscan Blood Orange and Hawaiian Ruby Guava. They are equally yummy. So, imagine my excitement when, walking through Wegman's with the troupe after a meeting, Lotus spotted a Pacifica display and on it ... the entire Pacifica line, including Solid Perfume!
So everything beautiful isn't about makeup, y'all! It is totally not beautiful to be funky. LOL!
As a fan of Lavanila scents, I was keen to try Lavanila The Healthy Deodorant. I am not one of those girls who searches for organic or healthy beauty products, but it can never hurt when you know that you can get the beautification you need without doing any undue damage to your body or the environment, right?
I am a huge lover of a good gel eyeliner. They give you the oomph of a liquid liner, but I find them easier to apply and less mistake-prone. I have fallen head over heels for both MAC's Fluidline and Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner, so when I got the chance to try Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Eyeliner, I went for it, to see if I needed to make this a permanent part of my gel liner wardrobe.

But I looked closely in the mirror this week and realized HEY! my little wee cheater "short/natural" lash extensions at the corners don't look nearly so freaky anymore! The redness/irritation has really gotten much less too. Just a little deepening of color in my lid, which isn't alarming at all. I'm looking forward to week 6!"

Anyway, when I started this blog, Vic didn't give it much thought, but now that he sees how much fun I have with it, he's jealous and wants a piece of the action - LOL! He has decided that I need to have men's products reviewed on here every now and then, so I invited him to do it himself. MAC Just A Pinch Gel Blush came out with MAC's recent "A Rose Romance" collection. I really enjoyed that collection - I'm a romantic at heart and all things pink and pretty make me very, very happy.
One of the products that made me happiest in this collection? Just A Pinch Gel Blush. The name is perfect because this gel blush leaves you with "just pinched" cheeks. Your cheeks will take on a faint, sheer red tint that's immensely flattering and wearable. I wouldn't suggest it for hardcore glam looks, but if you're going for "naturally beautiful", this is the stuff for you.
When I wear this and Lipstick Queen Medieval, I feel like a Jane Austen heroine!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: lip and cheek stains are my favorite things. They are so awesome for multi-tasking when you don't have more than five minutes to spare, but still want to do some prettifying! Here's another one I've added to my arsenal: The Body Shop Hot Brights Lip Shine/Cheek Stain, specifically in Shade 01 Pink.

Ever since I found out about Lipstick Queen Medieval, I was chomping at the bit to get it. A lip stain that was created by the Lipstick Queen - modeled after medieval women's habit of using lemon juice to stain their lips a just bitten red. Ahh, it sounded heavenly!
Now that summer is almost here (and the hot weather already is!), we're all much more likely to be shaving those legs, pits, etc., right? And, of course, there are a billion products on the market that say they will help you achieve the smoothest shave possible. Lately, I've been trying Pure Silk Shave Cream by Barbasol.
Pure Silk Shave Cream is available in six scents: Raspberry Mist, Citrus Zest, Melon Splash, Plumeria, Coconut & Oat Flour and Peaches & Cream.
I've been using it for a few weeks now and, unfortunately, I haven't noticed that Pure Silk Shave Cream makes my legs feel any smoother than any other shave gel/cream I've tried. It's a functional shave cream and the scents are nice. It's not expensive and easily found. So, there you go - it works, it's easy and it's pleasant, but nothing mindblowing.
